Job summary

HEO is seeking a Fullstack Engineer with strong backend focus to join our Sydney team. You will build features for HEO Inspect, our NEI data platform, and contribute to cloud-based services that automate space operations. You’ll collaborate across R&D, product and analytics to meet customer needs through our app, API and integrations.

The role emphasizes end-to-end development, scalable backend design, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced space-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar field.
• 4+ years of industry experience in developing web applications on the cloud.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience building end-to-end applications, including persistent storage and deployment (CI/CD).
• Proficient in Python and web development.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of new features on HEO's NEI data and insights web platform, HEO Inspect, with a focus on performance, user experience and interactivity.
• Maintenance and development of cloud-based back-end services which focus on automating our operations in Space.
• Work closely with HEO’s R&D team to productionise new algorithms that enhance our operations.
• Work closely with HEO’s product, go-to-market and analyst personnel to ensure customer requirements are met through our web application, API, and bespoke system integrations.
