Job summary

REMONDIS Australia is seeking a General Manager for South Australia based in Wingfield to lead our multi-site operations and drive sustainable waste management and resource recovery across the state. You will shape strategy, manage budgets and teams, build strong councils and industry partnerships, and champion safety and compliance while delivering value and 2030 targets.

Engage with local communities and stakeholders, oversee KPI delivery, and ensure operational excellence across transfer

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in operations management or senior roles.
• Strong background in waste management or environmental services.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing large budgets and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the South Australia team across multiple sites to deliver safe, sustainable operational results.
• Build and maintain relationships with councils, regulators, and commercial clients.
• Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to maximise outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards across the state.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence to meet KPIs and 2030 targets.
• Develop regional business strategies aligned with company goals and expand into new regions.
• Identify growth opportunities through sales activity and tenders.
