Job summary

ALH Hotels is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to be the right hand to our Head Chef, capable of running the kitchen when they are not in venue and creating memorable food. You will lead shifts, mentor staff, and ensure every plate leaving the kitchen is a work of art.

This hands-on role requires physical tasks and a proven track record in a high-volume pub or similar setting, along with up-to-date cooking credentials and food safety certifications.

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

You’ve got solid experience as a Sous Chef in a high‑volume pub or similar setting.

Your cooking credentials and food safety certifications are up‑to‑date.

You’re a natural‑born leader who commands respect with your skills and cool‑headed approach.

You have a serious love for creating delicious food that keeps people coming back for more.
