Job summary

Furner’s Hotel in Ulverstone, TAS is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and meal production. The successful candidate will supervise the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence and contribute to a quality à la carte menu.

The role requires a trade qualification (Certificate III in commercial cookery), strong cooking techniques, and a collaborative, detail‑oriented approach. Flexible shifts and a proactive attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and a trade qualification (Certificate III in commercial cookery).
• Ability to supervise and train staff, ensure food safety and hygiene.
• Good understanding of stock control and ordering, cost awareness.
