Job summary

Greca in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join the team at our lively Greek taverna. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef to keep services smooth, train junior cooks, and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced kitchen, with coaching, stock control, and opportunities to grow across The Apollo Restaurant Group. Competitive benefits include staff discounts and career development.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef in a busy restaurant.
• Calm, clear approach when service gets busy.
• Fair, supportive leadership and staff development.
• Strong organisational skills and a team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and service.
• Run sections and lead the pass when needed.
• Coach and develop junior chefs and kitchen hands.
• Maintain food quality, portioning and presentation.
• Keep food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards on track.
• Assist with ordering, stock control, prep planning and waste reduction.
• Help the team deliver smooth openings, closings and handovers.
