Employer Sponsored Jobs seeks a Sous Chef for a busy Gold Coast café, working with Head Chef and fellow Sous Chef to lead services and uphold kitchen standards.

You'll organize prep, allocate sections, coordinate daily operations, and drive food quality, presentation, and safety while fostering a positive, professional culture. Availability five days a week including weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a busy, high-volume café or similar kitchen.
• Background as Sous Chef, senior chef or kitchen supervisor.
• Confident in leading a team.
• Confident in running a busy service.
• Good organisational skills and strong communication.
• Reliable, composed under pressure and ownership-minded.
• Hands-on approach, collaborative with the team.
• Strong understanding of food quality and consistency.
• Available five days a week, including Saturdays and Sundays.

An established café on the Gold Coast runs a high-volume kitchen and needs a Sous Chef to strengthen its leadership team. The employer wants someone who can work hand in hand with the Head Chef and the existing Sous Chef, take charge of busy services and keep kitchen standards where they should be.

The business is looking for proven experience in a similar role. It is willing to consider sponsorship for the right applicant, and the person appointed must pass a 6-month probation period. A capable senior chef who is ready to step up will also be considered.
