Cisco's Splunk team is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support customer engagements across Australia and New Zealand from the ANZ region. You will work with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, Specialists, Partners and customers to deliver technical engagements that solve business and technology challenges.

This opportunity supports growth in a customer-facing technical career, with chances to build dashboards, run PoCs, and expand expertise across Splunk's Security, Observability and IT

Formación

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Presales, Technical Consulting, Professional Services, Customer Success, Technical Support or Engineering.
• Experience working with customers to understand requirements, solve technical challenges and deliver positive outcomes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Security or Security Operations; Observability, Monitoring or IT Operations; Cloud, Infrastructure or Platform Technologies; Data Analytics, Logging or Operational Intelligence; Enterprise Software Solutions.

• Participate in customer discovery conversations to understand business goals, technical challenges and desired outcomes.
• Deliver engaging demonstrations aligned to customer requirements and use cases.
• Support workshops, proof-of-concept activities and technical validation engagements.
• Build dashboards, searches and use cases that showcase practical customer outcomes.
• Help customers understand the value of Splunk across Security, Observability and IT Operations.
• Collaborate with account teams, partners and internal stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
• Identify customer challenges and recommend practical next steps.
• Balance multiple priorities while maintaining clear communication and strong stakeholder engagement.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Presales, Technical Consulting, Professional Services, Customer Success, Technical Support or Engineering.
• Experience working with customers to understand requirements, solve technical challenges and deliver positive outcomes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Security or Security Operations
• Observability, Monitoring or IT Operations
• Cloud, Infrastructure or Platform Technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Splunk or similar Security, Analytics, Monitoring or Observability platforms.
• Delivering demonstrations, workshops or proof-of-concept engagements.
• Search and query languages such as SPL, SQL or similar technologies.
• Cloud technologies and/or DevOps.
• Automation, scripting or API integrations.
• Industry certifications in Security, Cloud, Observability or related technologies.
