Job summary

Xero in Melbourne is seeking a Solutions Consultant to act as a trusted technical advisor and partner with our sales team to design solutions for accounting practice partners. You will translate partner requirements into scalable workflows and help firms unlock long-term value from the Xero platform.

You will join a collaborative team of seven reporting to the Solutions Consultant Manager, bridging account executives, product engineering, and external practice partners.

Qualifications

• Solid operational experience gained directly within an accounting or bookkeeping practice environment.
• Experience in consultative problem solving, pre-sales or technical solution design within complex environments.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts simply and present engaging sessions or demonstrations.
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms and broader practice workflow software ecosystems.
• Practical experience with AI tools to build efficient solutions.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills to navigate ambiguity and partner across internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and tailored solution scoping in partnership with Account Executives.
• Design and deliver engaging, custom product demonstrations addressing specific firm workflow challenges.
• Guide new practice partners through cloud implementation, workflow mapping, and early adoption up skilling.
• Provide expert technical support during sales cycles to overcome operational roadblocks and objections.
