Blackroc is partnering with a Federal Government agency on a key program of work aimed at strengthening the integrity and security of large-scale national systems. This role plays a pivotal part in designing enterprise-level technology solutions that are robust, scalable, and aligned to strategic business outcomes.

As a Solution Architect you’ll provide technical leadership and architectural oversight across a major transformation program focused on risk, compliance, and data integrity uplift. You’ll collaborate with business leaders, architects, and delivery teams to design end-to-end solutions that integrate seamlessly across complex environments.

Base pay range

A$125.00/hr - A$170.00/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of high-quality solution architectures that meet business and technical objectives.
• Engage closely with business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into actionable technical designs.
• Provide oversight and direction across multiple technology domains, ensuring cohesive and aligned solution delivery.
• Resolve complex challenges and influence decision-making at program and enterprise levels.
• Represent the solution architecture in key governance forums and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

About You

• 7–10 years’ experience in Solution Architecture or related disciplines, with proven success designing complex enterprise platforms.
• Strong experience designing or integrating solutions supporting fraud detection, risk analysis, or compliance uplift, with knowledge of data ingestion, validation, and analytics pipelines.
• Background in large-scale integration projects or enterprise data management solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — able to bridge business goals with technical delivery.
• Comfortable operating across both strategic and tactical levels, balancing program and organisational priorities.
• Experience within large or complex environments such as government, health, or insurance sectors is highly regarded.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• TOGAF certification or equivalent architectural qualification.
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud environments.

This role will be offered as a 12 + 12 month contract.
