Job summary

FranklinWH Australia is seeking a Software Solution Manager to bridge customer needs with software delivery across cloud-native architectures and APIs. You will lead design, planning, and architecture discussions, oversee end-to-end delivery, engage stakeholders, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires strong data modeling, experience with REST/SOAP, and collaboration with engineering teams and product owners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field (Master’s preferred).
3+ years of experience with cloud-native, microservice-based architectures, cloud computing platforms, and associated automation patterns (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
3+ years of experience integrating APIs and SaaS applications across multiple cloud environments, with proficiency in REST and SOAP web services and effective web service design.
5+ years of effective data modeling experience within both SQL (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos, MongoDB).
5+ years of experience in destructive testing methodologies and tools.
Thorough understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Knowledge of software design patterns.
Experience in the utility and/or clean energy sector, particularly interfacing with technical resources at customer accounts.
Experience in face-to-face customer interactions, gathering feedback, and implementing suggestions.
Strong problem-solving skills and strong teamwork, interpersonal, and cross-organisational coordination skills.
Applicants must have full, unrestricted working rights in Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required by business needs (up to approximately 25% of the time).
Capability to work with remote teams across Asian time zones.

Responsibilities

Solution Design and Planning: Gather requirements, document specs, review designs, ensure alignment with architecture standards, and assess feasibility/ROI.
Project Management and Delivery: Oversee lifecycle from inception to deployment, manage budgets/schedules/resources, apply Agile methods, monitor progress.
Stakeholder and Client Management: Serve as main contact, manage expectations, engage with clients and teams, resolve conflicts.
Technical Leadership and Oversight: Provide guidance to development teams, ensure quality, promote best practices and innovation.
Post-Implementation Support: Document and train users, monitor performance, gather feedback for continuous improvement.
