Job summary

Fusion5 is seeking a seasoned Data Architect to partner with clients from early conversations through delivery, shaping data architectures that unlock measurable business value. You will work across Microsoft, AWS, and modern data platforms, influencing deals and guiding presales activities to win complex engagements.

You’ll lead end-to-end data architecture design, build trusted executive relationships, and advise on emerging technologies to provide clients with a genuine competitive edge.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in presales, data solution architecture, or technical consulting in IT and business transformation.
• Proven experience managing full presales lifecycle from discovery to RFP responses.
• Strong track record designing and presenting enterprise-scale data solutions across multiple platforms and clouds.
• Experience engaging C-level executives and senior stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Lead the end-to-end design of innovative, scalable, and secure data solutions tailored to each customer's needs
• Translate complex business challenges into clear, structured technical architectures
• Ensure every solution is cost-effective, maintainable, secure, and built to perform
• Build trusted relationships with executives, stakeholders, and technical teams
• Shape proposals and influence customer buying decisions during presales
• Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to co-create solutions and keep project execution seamless
• Advise customers on emerging technology, data and AI, cloud, automation, and modern data platforms, to give them a genuine competitive edge
• Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and governance requirements, including data governance tooling such as Microsoft Purview for cataloguing, lineage, and policy enforcement

What You'll Need

The right person for this role has spent years earning trust in the room before a project even starts, building credibility through expertise, clear communication, and a track record of following through on what they promise. They read a business problem quickly, adapt how they explain complex architecture depending on who's listening, and know how to turn a technical recommendation into something a customer feels confident saying yes to.

• 7+ years in presales, data solution architecture, or technical consulting within IT and business transformation
• Proven experience managing the full presales lifecycle, from discovery through to solution design and RFP responses
• A strong track record designing and presenting enterprise-level solutions that integrate multiple platforms and cloud services
• Demonstrated success engaging C-level executives and senior stakeholders
• Hands-on experience with digital transformation, cloud data platforms, and integration architectures
• Comfort running client-facing workshops, proofs-of-concept, and tailored data platform demonstrations
• Industry certifications across relevant data technology domains, such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, or Power BI
• A genuine commitment to ongoing professional development as data technology keeps evolving
