Job summary

UpperGround by Hudson is seeking a Solution Architect to lead AVEVA PI System design and implementation for a Queensland Government-owned utility. The role focuses on integrating PI data with enterprise platforms, enabling real-time monitoring, analytics and governance across water/wastewater assets.

The ideal candidate will have extensive AVEVA PI expertise, strong IT/OT knowledge, and a proven track record delivering complex PI System solutions in a hybrid Brisbane environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and implementing AVEVA PI System solutions.
• Strong understanding of PI AF, Analyses, Event Frames, and PI Vision.
• Experience integrating PI System with enterprise data platforms and cloud services.
• Knowledge of OT, SCADA, telemetry, and industrial control system architectures.
• Experience developing architecture standards, integration strategies, and governance frameworks.
• Utility, water, wastewater experience highly regarded.

Job Title: Solution Architect (AVEVA PI System)
Contract: Initial 12-month contract

Our client is a Queensland Government-owned organisation in the utilities sector, making a meaningful impact on communities and the environment. Through customer-focused service and operational excellence, it plays a critical role in supporting sustainable growth across the region. They are currently recruiting for a Solution Architect (AVEVA PI System) to start asap.

Background

Our client is undertaking the implementation of the AVEVA PI System to establish a modern operational data platform that enables the collection, management, visualisation, and analysis of real-time operational data across water and wastewater assets. The solution will provide a scalable foundation for operational monitoring, performance reporting, event management, compliance reporting, and advanced analytics.
