Job summary

STARWAY INTERIOR PTY LTD in South Australia is seeking an experienced Solid Plasterer to support plastering and interior finishing work on local construction projects. You will interpret drawings, mix materials and apply plaster, render and texture coatings to walls and ceilings.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Solid Plastering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum two years post-qualification experience, or three years full-time relevant industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of plastering materials, rendering systems and finishing techniques.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and workmanship quality.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications to determine plastering requirements.
• Prepare internal and external wall and ceiling surfaces by cleaning, repairing and applying bonding agents.
• Mix plaster, cement, render and other materials to the required consistency.
• Apply solid plaster, cement render, acrylic render and texture coatings to walls, ceilings and other building surfaces.
• Install and repair cornices, decorative mouldings and other plaster features.
• Level, smooth and finish plastered surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Repair damaged plasterwork, rendered surfaces and surface imperfections.
• Measure and estimate material quantities required for each project.
• Ensure completed plastering work complies with Australian building standards, project specifications and workplace safety requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, safe work environment while collaborating with supervisors and other trades.
