Job summary

Montgomery Advisory is seeking a talented solicitor to join a leading global law firm’s Employment, Industrial Relations and Safety practice in Sydney. You will work with top Partners advising clients across multiple sectors on employment law, industrial relations and safety matters.

The role involves providing strategic advice on enterprise bargaining, workplace change, disputes, compliance, and representation in investigations and proceedings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' PQE in employment law and industrial relations.
• Strong academic credentials and teamwork skills.
• Experience advising on workplace strategy, bargaining, disputes and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on employment, industrial relations and workforce matters, including enterprise bargaining and workplace change.
• Advise and represent clients in employment and industrial disputes, including dismissal and bargaining matters.
• Provide practical advice on workplace compliance, including employment, discrimination, safety and payroll matters.
• Assist clients in dealings with workplace regulators and represent them in investigations, disputes and proceedings.

Our client is a leading global law firm with a market leading Employment, Industrial Relations and Safety practice. They are now looking for a talented solicitor to join the team.

The Opportunity

In this role you will work closely with leading Partners in advising clients across multiple sectors on employment law, industrial relations, and safety matters.

Key responsibilities include

• Provide strategic advice on employment, industrial relations and workforce matters, including enterprise bargaining and workplace change;
• Advise and represent clients in employment and industrial disputes, including dismissal, general protections and bargaining matters;
• Provide practical advice on workplace compliance, including employment, discrimination, safety and payroll matters;
• Assist clients in dealings with workplace regulators and represent them in investigations, disputes and proceedings.

What you’ll bring

• At least 2 years’ experience in employment law and industrial relations, gained in private practice, government or in-house.
• Strong academic credentials, communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience advising on workplace strategy, bargaining, disputes, compliance, litigation and employment aspects of major transactions.
• A curious, innovative mindset with an interest in AI and emerging technologies.
