Job summary

Tradewind Australia is partnering with a well-established K-12 Christian school in Western Sydney to recruit a Software Engineering Teacher for a permanent full-time role starting 2027. The successful applicant will deliver engaging lessons across Digital Technologies, Computer Technology and Software Engineering to secondary students, and contribute to the school's Christian ethos and community life.

Design and deliver lessons, foster student confidence, and support positive wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Qualified to teach Secondary Computing / Digital Technologies including Stage 6 capability.
• Strong curriculum knowledge and an engaging, student-centered approach.
• Effective classroom management and a commitment to wellbeing.
• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.
• Genuine commitment to Christian education.
• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent; 4-year qualification or 75% completion.
• NESA registration and NSW Working with Children Check.
• Two referees with educational backgrounds and a Christian church reference.

Responsibilities

This is a great opportunity for a passionate teacher to deliver engaging learning across Digital Technologies, Computer Technology and Software Engineering.

The Role

The successful teacher will be responsible for teaching across the secondary years, including:

• Stage 4 Technology (Digital Technologies)
• Stage 5 Computer Technology
• Stage 6 Software Engineering

You will also:

• Design and deliver engaging lessons that build student confidence and capability
• Support strong learning outcomes through positive relationships and clear classroom practice
• Work collaboratively within a supportive secondary faculty
• Contribute to the broader life and community of the College
• Actively support and model the school's Christian ethos and Biblical worldview

About You

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Is suitably qualified to teach Secondary Computing / Digital Technologies (including Stage 6 capability, ideally Software Engineering)
• Has strong curriculum knowledge and an engaging, student-centred approach
• Demonstrates effective classroom management and a commitment to wellbeing
• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team
• Has a genuine commitment to Christian education

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent (minimum 4-year qualification or 75% completion).
• NESA registration.
• Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
• Two referees with educational backgrounds and a Christian church reference
