Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Victorian Curriculum, focusing on agricultural science and related subjects for secondary students.

  • Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including practical assessments, exams, projects, and assignments.
  • Provide regular feedback and report on student progress to parents and school administration.
  • Teach and promote sustainable agricultural practices, focusing on environmental stewardship, resource management, and the integration of modern technology in farming.
  • Work with other teachers and school staff to integrate agricultural education across different subjects and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
  • Maintain high safety standards in all agricultural activities, ensuring compliance with school policies and relevant occupational health and safety regulations.
Skills & Experience:
  • Current VIT registration
  • Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Agricultural Science in a Secondary school setting, a must
  • Catholic School experience highly regarded
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).

  • Mixed classes of year levels and class sizes averaging around 20 students
  • Excellent farm staff at hand
  • Access to 800 acres of land and houses; cows, sheep, bees, vegetable gardens, grapes, orchards and olive trees etc.
  • Salary commensurate with demonstrated expertise and time commitment
The School:
