Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is offering a Technology Graduate Program – Entry Level Software Engineer for new graduates in Australia. The 12‑month hybrid program includes two six‑month rotations, hands-on experience with big data, AI, SRE, DevOps, and security engineering, and exposure to AWS and Azure.

You will work on developing system components, follow coding best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple environments.

Qualifications

• Graduation date between Feb 2026 and Feb 2027.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field completed or near completion.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, to collaborate effectively.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Python, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, Linux and .Net.
• Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall development methodologies.
• Knowledge of data manipulation languages and data modeling principles.
• Willingness to learn new processes and technologies.
• Awareness of test‑driven development.

Responsibilities

• Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for developing system components of simple complexity.
• Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews under senior engineers' guidance.
• Operating in various development environments and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Completing simple bug fixes and applying knowledge of test‑driven development.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for software development projects.
• Resolving basic technical issues and staying updated on new technology developments.
• Demonstrating knowledge of software development methodologies and data manipulation languages.
• Understanding data modelling principles and applicable development languages.
