Job summary

Transport for NSW seeks a permanent ICT specialist in Burwood to manage, deploy and support enterprise applications, ensuring system stability and seamless integration with enterprise platforms.

You will collaborate with architects, product teams, vendors and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure technology solutions, drive lifecycle activities, monitor performance and contribute to cloud migration initiatives. Applications close 11:59 PM Sunday 27 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting and deploying enterprise applications in Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of application integrations, APIs, scripting, automation, and databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and working with vendors to deliver outcomes.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience in Agile, DevOps and ITIL environments with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor application performance, resolve production issues, and perform root-cause analysis to improve system reliability and user experience.
• Contribute to platform modernisation initiatives, including the migration of legacy applications to cloud-enabled environments.
• Participate in a shared on-call support roster, providing critical application support to maintain service availability and operational excellence.
• The team also comes together in person for activities such as branch all-in days (Location Burwood Office), training sessions, planning workshops and collaborative work.

About You

• Demonstrated experience supporting and deploying enterprise applications, including packaged solutions in Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of application integrations, APIs, scripting, automation, and database technologies such as Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and working with vendors to deliver successful outcomes.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience troubleshooting complex application and integration issues.

• Experience working within Agile, DevOps, and ITIL environments, collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver technology outcomes.
