Job summary

Nuix is seeking a software engineer to help build web services using modern technologies from our Sydney office. You will choose to work in TypeScript/React for frontend or Java 17/21 with Spring Boot for backend, with deployments in AWS and Kubernetes managed clusters.

You’ll join a cross-functional team and contribute across the full software life cycle, collaborating with product owners to define goals and ensure successful feature launches.

Qualifications

• Experience with any modern web tech stack.
• Knowledge or desire to work on Java, TypeScript, Kubernetes projects.
• Experience or understanding of modern cloud-based solutions, ideally on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Be an active contributor to all team activities during the entire software life cycle.
• Work closely with product owners during discovery to set goals and metrics for successful launch of the feature or component.
• Contribute to and/or lead software architecture and design of the features and components we build.
• Work on customer requests, helping the team and stakeholders to prioritise the improvements and additions to our product.

Role Overview

We are looking for a software engineer with good understanding and experience building web services using modern technologies. We have a cross-functional team, so the candidate will be able to pick for themselves either to work in TypeScript, React, Redux to make frontend components, build services in Java 17 & Java 21, Spring boot with managed DBs and services in AWS, or spin them up in one of our Kubernetes clusters.

Location

This position will be based in our Sydney office. We have one or two days a week which teams usually elect for themselves to attend the office.
