Job summary

Gridsight is a fast-growing Grid/CleanTech startup building a vertical SaaS platform for electricity utilities to modernise grid operations. We are creating a dedicated Flex product team and are hiring a software engineer to cover the full stack—backend services, data models, and the web-facing UI that utilities use to self-serve configuration, visibility, and reporting.

You will work across backend, data, and frontend, shipping features in production.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of software engineering experience shipping and running production systems.
• Strong in at least one backend, data, or frontend, with ability to work across all three.
• Experience shipping user-facing product features in production.
• Solid fundamentals: clean architecture, testing, code review, CI/CD.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
• Strong ownership and bias to deliver working software without prompting.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features across the Flex stack: backend services, data models, and web UI.
• Own features end-to-end from problem understanding to production release.
• Create a self-serve product surface for configurations, visibility, and reporting.
• Collaborate with data models and services feeding Flex products.
• Develop operational tooling and monitoring for healthy deployments.
• Work with grid modelling team to integrate outputs into workflows.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery.
• Contribute to engineering culture through quality, testing, observability, and knowledge sharing.
