Job summary

Epsilon is a global data, technology and services company powering the marketing and advertising ecosystem. As a Software Engineer reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will contribute to design and development of software, work within squads from concept to working solution, collaborating with product, testing and design teams to meet guidelines and deliver scalable, customer-focused systems.

The role spans frontend to backend and deployment, with DevOps exposure and a path to specialization

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of software engineering experience in backend development.
• Solid understanding of application programming, database and system design fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud-based environments and microservice architectures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical solution design within your squad, breaking down problems with senior engineers.
• Deliver high-quality, customer-focused software from concept to working solution, with production readiness in mind.
• Write and review code, design documents, and technical documentation.
• Apply engineering standards and patterns within your area of work.
• Support improvements to system reliability, scalability and operational excellence.
• Draw on DevOps experience to maintain and improve infrastructure, build and deployment tooling.
• Participate in code reviews, standups, refinement, planning and retrospectives.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues across code and tooling, and resolve them.
