Job summary

Epsilon, part of Publicis Groupe, is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Brisbane squad. You’ll contribute to design and development of scalable software, work across frontend to backend, and collaborate with product, testing and design teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

The role values DevOps experience and cloud-native practices, with hands-on work on CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a software engineer with backend focus.
• Strong grounding in Java and Go preferred; willingness to learn both.
• Solid understanding of application programming, database and system design.
• Experience with cloud environments and microservices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and containerization (Docker).
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical solution design within your squad and break down problems.
• Deliver high-quality, customer-focused software from concept to working solution.
• Write and review code, design docs and technical documentation.
• Apply engineering standards and patterns within your area.
• Support improvements to reliability, scalability and operational excellence.
• Draw on DevOps experience to maintain and improve tooling.
• Participate in code reviews, standups, planning and retrospectives.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues across code and tooling.
