Job summary

Cleared is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer for a Defence industry role in Adelaide, Australia. This permanent, full-time position requires an NV1 security clearance and focuses on designing, developing and maintaining software components using C# as part of a broader distributed systems effort.

You will collaborate with software engineers across the team, participate in the full SDLC, and contribute to automated testing, quality and continuous improvement in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with C# development.
• Strong understanding of OOP and software engineering principles.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Understanding of software testing, integration and the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and maintain software components using C#.
• Contribute to software architecture and microservices/distributed systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical specialists to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in the full SDLC including design, implementation, code reviews, testing and integration.
• Develop automated tests and contribute to quality, reliability and maintainability.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues through debugging and problem-solving.
• Contribute to technical discussions, team planning and continuous improvement.
• Work in an Agile engineering environment with the wider team.
