Medibank’s AI Hub is hiring a Software Engineer (Audience) for a 12-month fixed-term opportunity in Melbourne. You will design, build and deploy scalable audience frameworks and activation solutions, enabling more personalised customer experiences across our digital ecosystem.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Data, AI Governance and Technology teams, leveraging cloud-native architectures and identity resolution to drive data governance and activation platforms.

Formación

• Experience building and supporting enterprise applications and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, APIs, JSON and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with Java, microservices and cloud-based architectures.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working across cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data360 and data platforms is a plus.

• Work with customer data platforms, identity resolution, audience syndication and activation platforms.

• Champion modern engineering practices, including DevSecOps, CI and CD.
• Support production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

Join Medibank’s AI Hub as a Software Engineer (Audience) in this 12-month fixed-term opportunity.

You’ll focus on audience engineering, customer data platforms and segmentation capabilities, helping shape how customer and audience data is managed, governed and activated across our digital ecosystem.

Working across marketing, data, AI governance and technology, you’ll develop scalable audience frameworks and activation solutions that enable more personalised and meaningful customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy high-quality software solutions across the full development lifecycle.


• Build and maintain audience frameworks, segmentation capabilities and customer data solutions.


• Work with customer data platforms, identity resolution, audience syndication and activation platforms.


• Partner with Data Governance, Privacy and AI Governance teams.


• Contribute to customer data architecture and audience governance frameworks.


• Champion modern engineering practices, including DevSecOps, continuous integration and continuous delivery.


• Support production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Must Haves

• Strong experience building and supporting enterprise applications and integrations.


• Hands‑on experience with AWS, APIs, JSON and modern software engineering practices.


• Experience with Java, microservices and cloud-based architectures.


• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and DevSecOps practices.


• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.


• Experience working across cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.


• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data360, customer data platforms, audience segmentation, SQL or data modelling will be highly regarded.
