Job summary

JobCubby in Brisbane is seeking a data engineering / front-end oriented professional with a graduate degree in Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering. You will gather requirements, wireframe and sign-off, develop front-end dashboards for self-service access, and build data pipelines using Python, SQL Server and ETL/ELT processes.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from business users; wireframe and sign-off.
• Frontend development to build menus, forms and dashboards for self-service data access; data analysis and visualization.
• Developing in Python (libraries such as pandas, APIs).
• Developing database queries (SQL Server) and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Integrating AI into processes using Databricks.
• Using Git for code repository.
• Data cleansing and rationalising collection points and methods.
• Reviewing and improving existing systems and business processes.
• Process automation.
• Project implementation and integration.
• Service provider management (logs, bug fixes, upgrades etc).
• Data security & management (Back-ups etc).
• Database management & knowledge of Airflow.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience in the MS Azure ecosystem (SQL Server and ELT; Flow; Teams; Sharepoint; Fast API)
• Excellent Python & SQL skills;
• Experience working with Airflow; sftp; Web apps development (Flask; Javascript; Vue.js);
• Basic Linux experience;
• Technical expertise in data models, database design and data mining techniques;
• 1-2 years work experience, preferably developing in Financial Services
• Proven experience of using data analysis and visualisation tools;
• Outstanding critical thinking and analytical skills;
• An understanding of the funds management and/or broader financial services industry; and
• Resilience, sincerity, and tenacity.
