Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks a Software Engineer to design, implement, and operate globally distributed systems that deliver low-latency data lakehouse and analytics for Leo's AI capabilities, using the latest AWS technologies.

You will design and build scalable architectures, establish data quality and metadata management, and enable cross-domain querying to support AI retrieval across satellites, ground gateways, and customer terminals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable, cost-optimized data lakehouse and analytics layers.
• Establish metadata management and data quality controls.
• Design standardized data ingestion patterns with validation gates.
• Develop centralized metrics repository and AI retrieval support.
• Lead cross-domain federated query capabilities and vector database infrastructure.
