Job summary

Pixel Pioneers is seeking a Software Engineer to help translate product vision into actionable engineering strategy and guide design and engineering teams on skill-based and social gaming projects. This role sits with Pixel Pioneers, not VGW, and will require office attendance in Perth.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of commercial experience with solid engineering fundamentals.
• Daily hands-on experience with Git version control, PRs, and peer reviews.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in small teams.
• Comfort switching between legacy projects and AI-assisted workflows.
• Based in Perth, available to work in the office four days a week with Friday WFH.

Responsibilities

• Navigate, refactor, and scale large codebases and monorepos efficiently.
• Leverage AI coding tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development and focus on architecture.
• Engage in daily Git workflows, peer code reviews, and squad-based pair programming.
