Job summary

SEEK is seeking a Software Engineer in Cremorne, Victoria, to join SEEK Pass Engineering and build software for both internal and external customers. You will work closely with senior engineers while expanding your skills in modern software practices.

You will contribute to code quality and learn across backend and frontend work, including RoR, Node.js, React/React Native, GraphQL, Terraform and AWS. A strong learning mindset and curiosity about scalable systems are valued.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of software development experience.
• Experience or interest in RoR, Node.js or React/React Native.
• Ability to write clean, readable code.
• Interest in scalable, secure systems architecture.
• Basic understanding of software design principles.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
• Curiosity about microservices and system integrations.
• Willingness to learn about cloud services (AWS) or eager to learn.

Software Engineer SEEK•Cremorne, Victoria, Australia

Job Description

Our teams build products for internal and external customers across SEEK Pass and the wider SEEK Group. A Software Engineer is a core member of one of our SEEK Pass Engineering teams who is eager to learn and grow their technical skills. As a Software Engineer, you will work closely with senior team members while continuing developing your expertise in software development and engineering practices.

You will develop software within product delivery/systems/platform teams, contributing to code quality, learning from experienced engineers, and demonstrate enthusiasm for your craft through user-centric, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to building, maintaining and improving our platforms
• Learning about security and privacy best practices for user data
• Assisting with partner and authority integrations
• Growing your understanding of business requirements and product direction

Qualifications
