  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using approved programming languages and frameworks.

  • Develop and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end) to support continuous integration and delivery.

  • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to engineering standards.

  • Maintain and improve existing applications and services, including defect resolution and minor refactoring.

  • Assist in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues to maintain system reliability.

  • Follow security, compliance and change management practices to safeguard systems and data.

  • Contribute to technical documentation, including system design, APIs and development processes.

  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver technical solutions.

  • Communicate progress, risks and technical issues in a clear and timely manner.

  • Engage in continuous professional development and apply organisational engineering standards in daily work.

Who we’re looking for
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 12 months’ software development experience, with proficiency in at least one language such as Scala, Kotlin or Java.

  • Working knowledge of Agile/Kanban methodologies and experience working effectively within a cross-functional team.

  • Foundational full-stack development skills, with an understanding of front-end, back-end and data-driven systems.

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including coding standards, software design principles, version control and automated testing.

  • Strong problem-solving, debugging and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
