Job summary

Westbury Partners is seeking a Software Development Platform Engineer to join a high-performing team in Sydney. You will build scalable tooling, improve build systems, and accelerate engineering workflows to empower hundreds of developers.

You’ll work across Python, Java, and C++ stacks, optimise compile times, and contribute to CI/CD and containerised environments. This role focuses on infrastructure, automation, and delivering robust engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience using Python, Java, and/or C++.
• Experience with Bazel or another monorepo-oriented build system.
• Strong understanding of reliable build environments and rapid developer feedback cycles.
• Experience designing or implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, TeamCity, or GoCD.
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• An interest in developer productivity, build systems, automation, and engineering infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a pragmatic approach to technical challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
