Job summary

P&C Partners Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a capable team working on geospatial data processing and visualisation products. This is a leadership, delivery-focused role with ownership of delivery, people development and engineering practices.

You will mentor engineers, manage planning and milestones, remove blockers and collaborate with Tech Leads and Product Managers to balance timelines with quality and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience as Software Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager or Development Manager.
• Strong people leadership, coaching and mentoring experience.
• Solid technical foundations within software engineering.
• Experience leading Agile software delivery.
• Strong planning, delivery and organisational skills.
• Experience helping engineering teams establish and improve ways of working.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience within fast-growing or evolving organisations.

The Opportunity

An opportunity has opened for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a highly capable engineering team working on sophisticated geospatial data processing and visualisation products within a growing technology environment.

This is a genuine people and delivery leadership role rather than a hands-on coding position. You'll create the environment in which talented engineers can perform at their best, taking ownership of delivery, developing your people and continually improving engineering practices.

The Role

About You

Experience with geospatial, GIS, mapping, spatial data or visualisation products would be highly regarded.

Previous Defence experience is advantageous but not essential.

You must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian NV1 security clearance.
