Job summary

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network, delivering fast, reliable internet to a wide range of users. The team develops embedded software for satellite systems, building drivers and security features while collaborating with hardware groups to enable board bring-up and integration.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in Rust, C, C++, or other modern languages.

• Write device drivers and system applications for the various satellite systems and device interfaces like I2C, SPI, CAN etc.

• Develop security features for satellite systems.

• Work closely with other software and hardware teams to support board bring-up and integration.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
