Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a Social Worker for Biloela Hospital to deliver generalist social work services across the Banana region, including Moura, Theodore and Baralaba. The role involves managing complex caseloads, coordinating referrals and leading quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

The successful candidate will contribute to multidisciplinary teamwork, provide supervision and education, and support patient outcomes through policy and planning efforts.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work, eligible for membership with AASW.
• Strong generalist clinical Social Work skills across all ages and stages of care.
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings with limited supervision.
• Excellent communication and teamwork for multidisciplinary collaboration.

Through visiting specialists and Telehealth, the team helps local residents access the care they need without always having to travel far from their community.The Gladstone and Banana Allied Health team brings together six professions to support people through different stages of life, from developmental paediatrics to cancer care.
