Job summary

UMM is a dynamic Australian communications agency seeking a Social Media Executive to join the integrated team on a lively client portfolio. You will work within the Social and Content team and collaborate with Influencer and PR colleagues to deliver engaging, on-brand content.

You will shape content calendars, craft social-first assets, monitor performance and contribute strategies that balance culture with commercial goals.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in content creation, social media, or digital marketing, ideally within an agency or fast-paced brand environment.
• A University Degree in Digital or Social Media, Journalism, Communications, PR, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro or Photoshop.
• Able to connect creative output to brand, campaign and business objectives.
• Deep understanding of major social platforms and platform mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Content creation: Concept, produce, shoot and adapt social-first content.
• Strategy & Planning: Manage content calendars aligned to business goals.
• Community & Engagement: Publish, engage, and maintain a strong brand voice.
• Analytics & Optimisation: Track performance and translate data into refinements.
• Account Management: Support client portfolio with senior team guidance.
• Social Media Advertising: Assist with paid campaigns; taught if needed.
• Team Collaboration: Report to Head of Social & Content and collaborate with the wider agency.
