Anglicare NT, in partnership with headspace, seeks a Social and Emotional Wellbeing worker for a 12-month contract to support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander youth and families. The role focuses on culturally safe mentoring and flexible support to promote wellbeing and access to services.
The successful candidate will work within a caring team, delivering strengths-based guidance to empower young people to seek help and improve health outcomes in the community.

The role of the Social and Emotional Wellbeing worker is to strengthen access to culturally informed, flexible support. The Social Emotional Wellbeing worker will provide culturally safe support and mentoring to young Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who are engaged with headspace. You will work with young people and families in a strengths-based and choice-focused way.
As a key member of the headspace team, you will aim to support young people and their families who present with mental health difficulties. You will help young people understand the impact of mental and physical health, aiming to ensure young people feel good about seeking help.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must provide 100 points of identification to confirm Australian citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia; possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a current National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a valid NT driver’s licence.
