Job summary

CyberCX, part of Accenture, is seeking a Security Analyst to join the Managed Security Services team in Brisbane. You will support security monitoring, incident investigation, detection improvements and threat hunting across enterprise environments.

You’ll work alongside Senior Analysts and Technical Leads, gaining exposure to complex investigations and a broad range of technologies. This hands-on role suits someone with practical SOC experience seeking growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security operations experience in SOC/MSSP/MDR
• Experience investigating security alerts and incidents
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts across enterprise environments
• Analyse events using SIEM platforms like Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk
• Investigate suspicious activity across identity, cloud, endpoint and network telemetry
• Support incident response activities including containment and escalation
• Work with Defender, CrowdStrike and Cortex XDR technologies
• Tune detections to reduce false positives and alert noise
• Assist development of new detections and customer use cases
• Participate in threat hunting based on intel and customer concerns
• Identify gaps in logging and security visibility
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and internal teams
• Contribute to automation and SOC capability development
• Collaborate with Senior Analysts on complex investigations and escalations
• Participate in rotating on-call roster for after-hours escalations
