Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Security Analyst in Melbourne to join its Managed Security Services team. You will monitor alerts, investigate investigations, and support threat hunting across customer environments, using SIEMs like Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk, and EDR/XDR tools such as Defender, CrowdStrike and Cortex XDR.

You will work with Senior Analysts and Leads on complex investigations, contributing to detections, security visibility and incident response in a hands-on SOC setting.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience in a SOC or security operations environment.
• Experience with a SIEM such as Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk.
• Exposure to EDR/XDR platforms such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike or Cortex XDR.
• Understanding of incident response and security investigation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts across enterprise customer environments.
• Analyse security events using SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk.
• Investigate suspicious activity across identity, cloud, endpoint and network telemetry.
• Support incident response activities including investigation, scoping, containment and escalation.
• Work with technologies including Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike and Cortex XDR.
• Tune detections and help reduce false positives and alert noise.
• Assist with development of new detections and customer‑specific use cases.
• Participate in threat hunting activities based on threat intelligence and customer concerns.
