Job summary

Centorrino Technologies is seeking a Security Engineer - SOAR to join its Cyber team in Australia. You will drive SOAR playbooks, automate incident response, and optimise security tooling for PROTECTED workloads while aligning with ACSC ISM and PSPF requirements.

The role focuses on cloud/hybrid security, FortiSOAR implementation, and cross-functional collaboration to reduce incidents and improve detection accuracy, with hybrid work arrangements and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering across infrastructure, network, endpoint and cloud security.
• Experience implementing SOAR to reduce recurring tickets (FortiSOAR preferred).
• Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, and securing cloud/hybrid solutions.
• Strong consulting and stakeholder engagement skills to articulate cyber security viewpoints.

Responsibilities

• Drive creation and refinement of SOAR methodologies, playbooks and collateral.
• Design and maintain SOAR workflows to improve incident response efficiency and standardisation.
• Research and recommend automation opportunities to reduce operational overhead in security operations.
• Tune detection rules and logic across security tools to minimize false positives and improve threat detection.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to configure security tools for peak performance and alignment with security goals.
• Identify improvements to streamline operations and enhance client security environments.
• Advise on secure, compliant cloud/hybrid solutions aligned with ACSC requirements (PROTECTED).
• Analyze requirements to ensure alignment with government frameworks (PSPF, ISM).
• Develop and maintain up-to-date security documentation and baselines.
• Pursue ongoing professional development in SOAR and related capabilities.
