Job summary

The HR Ally is seeking a Snowflake Architect to design, develop, and maintain scalable data architectures on the Snowflake platform for advanced analytics across HR solutions.

Based in Sydney, NSW, you will model data structures, optimize pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong Architecture and Architectural Design skills for cloud-based data platforms, preferably Snowflake.
• Experience in Software Development, including SQL, data engineering, and scripting for ETL/ELT processes.
• Expertise in Integration of data from diverse systems, APIs, and HR-related applications into a unified data environment.
• Demonstrated Project Management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, and coordination of data initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake configuration, performance tuning, security, and cost optimization.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling (star/snowflake schemas), and analytics workloads.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Snowflake Architect role based in Sydney, NSW. The Snowflake Architect will design, develop, and maintain scalable data architectures on the Snowflake platform to support advanced analytics and reporting across HR solutions. Day-to-day tasks include modeling data structures, optimizing data pipelines, integrating data from multiple sources, and ensuring data quality, security, and performance. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translating them into technical designs, and guiding software developers and data engineers in implementing best practices. The Snowflake Architect will contribute to architectural standards, documentation, and continuous improvement of the data platform.
