Job summary

Horizon Nexus Partners is seeking an experienced Manager to lead our SMSF Specialist team in Australia, balancing senior leadership with hands-on technical work.

You will oversee client relationships, workflow management and team development, delivering high‑quality accounting, compliance and advisory services to a diverse SMSF client base. You’ll review work and mentor junior staff while translating regulatory changes into practical guidance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years SMSF accounting and compliance experience, including managing a portfolio.
• Proven ability to lead, coach or mentor a team.
• Deep knowledge of superannuation legislation and SIS Act.
• Proficiency with SMSF administration software (BGL/Class or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead the client relationship with complex SMSF clients, advisers and partners.
• Review SMSF financial statements, returns, pension calculations and member transactions.
• Oversee team delivery, sign-off on outputs, and manage quality and compliance.
• Shape processes and systems within the SMSF function and support growth.
