Job summary

Bentley is seeking an experienced SMSF Accountant in Brisbane to join its multidisciplinary team. The role targets an Intermediate to Manager-level candidate with SMSF experience to manage a diverse client portfolio and complex investment structures.

You will provide end-to-end SMSF compliance services, liaising with clients and advisers to ensure deadlines are met and compliance obligations are fulfilled.

Qualifications

• Experience in SMSF accounting and compliance.
• Experience using BGL360.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines.
• Confident communication and ability to build client relationships.
• Experience managing an SMSF portfolio, including complex funds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare BAS, financial statements and SMSF annual returns.
• Manage a portfolio of SMSF clients, including complex funds.
• Work across accumulation and pension-phase funds.
• Prepare accounts and compliance for funds holding Australian and international shares, unlisted investments, commercial property and residential property.
• Liaise with clients and advisers to ensure timely compliance obligations.
