St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane – Sydney CBD NSW seeks a Smoking and Vaping Cessation Education Officer on a max term, part-time basis. You will develop and deliver evidence-based cessation programs for clients and staff within the Alcohol and Drug Service in Sydney.

The role requires relevant health qualifications, strong cessation knowledge, and competence in digital tools. Salary range advertised: 77,299 to 123,504 AUD per year, plus super and packaging options. Mon-Fri shifts.

Qualifications

• Qualified health professional with evidence-based tobacco smoking and nicotine vaping cessation knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage with clients and staff.
• Able to use electronic patient records and standard software tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate smoking and vaping cessation strategies and educational resources.
• Provide face-to-face and online cessation education and support to clients.
• Deliver education programs for SVHS staff to build cessation care capabilities.
• Lead cessation initiatives including group therapy and nicotine replacement programs for staff and clients.
• Monitor data and contribute to program evaluation and quality improvements.
• Collaborate with trainers and stakeholders to align services with NSW Health priorities.
