Job summary

Smokemart & Giftbox Mackay is seeking a Sales Assistant to deliver a friendly, hands-on shopping experience in a busy, target-driven store. You’ll build rapport with customers, explain products, and help create an inviting atmosphere that keeps customers returning.

You will handle cash, learn product details across our range, maintain store standards and merchandising, supporting stock checks, meeting KPI targets, and following WHS guidelines; a police check may be required at interview.

Qualifications

• Customer service focus with ability to build rapport.
• Experience in fast-paced retail environment.
• Valid police check may be required if interviewed.
• Knowledge of products across tobacco and gifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Providing high levels of customer service and building strong rapport.
• Sound Cash Handling and EFTPOS.
• Learn and maintain solid product knowledge across all pillars of the business.
• Maintain high level of store standards, assist with merchandising and presentation.
• Work towards budgets, targets and KPI’s.

• Follow national legislation, WHS and security guidelines.
