Apiam Animal Health is seeking a senior veterinarian for two established clinics on the Central Queensland coast. You’ll lead in small animal medicine and surgery, mentor graduates, and share caseloads across both sites while enjoying a supportive network and lifestyle in Gladstone.
This role offers a strong salary and relocation support, plus extensive CE and community-driven benefits as part of Apiam Animal Health’s growing veterinary network.
Boyne Tannum & Harbour City Veterinary Surgery
Two established clinics, 20 minutes apart on the Central Queensland coast, are growing. We’re investing in the area with a brand-new purpose-built hospital, and we’re looking for a senior vet to join us. You’ll be a trusted clinical presence for our graduates as they find their feet, and get in early on what’s next.
Ready for a change of scenery? Gladstone offers a coastal lifestyle, a tight-knit community and a more affordable cost of living, with the support to make the move easy.
Thinking about relocating?
We’ll help make the move easy with up to $10,000 relocation payment, stay in shared accommodation when you land and get help finding somewhere long‑term. If you’re coming from overseas, we offer visa sponsorship and immigration support for candidates eligible for registration in Queensland.
A team with big opportunities.
Two busy clinics, loyal clients who take your advice, and a team that likes each other. No corporate gloss, just good medicine, proper backup and colleagues who’ll happily scrub in with you.
You’ll work with multiple consult rooms, ultrasound, digital X-ray, surgery suites and in‑house IDEXX labs, with a caseload that spans consults, workups, medicine and surgery.
A clinical role with mentoring built in.
This is first and foremost a clinical role: your own consults, surgery and caseload, every week. Alongside that, our graduates need someone in their corner. You’ll work alongside them every day, guiding consults, surgery and case management and helping them build confidence and decision‑making. This isn’t a classroom role. It’s teaching in the moment, in a busy clinic, while keeping your own caseload interesting. No clinic management, just great medicine and the satisfaction of helping new vets grow.
Live where others holiday.
Finish your consult list, walk the dog on the beach, and be home before sunset. Beaches, national parks, hiking, camping, fishing and 4WD tracks are on your doorstep, with warm weather, a tight-knit community and an affordable cost of living. Brisbane is close enough for a city weekend whenever you want one.
A senior vet with 5+ years in small animal practice and confidence across general practice medicine and surgery. You enjoy developing others, give clear and practical feedback, and value good medicine, good teamwork and continual improvement.
Proudly part of Apiam Animal Health.
You’ll have the backing of a growing veterinary network, with real career pathways, professional development and clinical support when you need it.
