Vetlink in south-east Queensland is seeking a veterinarian to join a long-established mixed practice with a busy small animal clinic and substantial large animal work. You’ll handle a diverse caseload including surgery, medicine, and wildlife cases in a supportive environment.

The role offers a generous salary package and negotiable terms, with dedicated time for notes, case workups, research, and follow-ups. CPD and AVA registration fees are negotiable as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Must hold BVSc or equivalent and be eligible for veterinary registration.

Responsibilities

A vacancy has become available for a veterinarian to join a long-established multi-vet mixed practice in south-east Queensland. Join a true mixed practice with a diverse and exciting small and large animal caseload, including all aspects of general medicine and a wide range of surgeries!

A varied caseload across most species gives vets invaluable exposure and experience in a supportive setting that nurtures career development. Whether you are looking to refine surgical techniques, build diagnostic confidence or broaden your knowledge across all areas of veterinary medicine, this practice provides a comprehensive environment that encourages professional growth in the areas that matter most to you!

This is a mixed practice with a busy small animal clinic. The practice sees a mix of approximately 60% small animal and 40% large animal. The large animal work is a great mix.

The practice offers high-quality breeding, general surgery and medical services to their equine clients and also sees a good percentage of cattle work, with some sheep and pigs. Interested in wildlife? There is a devoted wildlife ward with endless opportunity to grow this area if desired - treat a wide variety of species, including kangaroos, reptiles and birds.

The successful applicant will work in an encouraging environment where colleagues enjoy learning from one another and are supported to pursue their own passions and interests. There is a strong commitment to continuing education, and the practice provides an excellent opportunity to further develop clinical and surgical skills with a varied caseload, high standards of care and outstanding support and mentorship.

The role is full-time. The clinic offers generous salary packages and is open to negotiating a rewarding package tailored to the individual.

A CPD allowance and AVA registration fees are included by negotiation, and the team ensures dedicated time is set aside each day for note writing, case workups, research, and patient follow-ups.

The practice is progressive and well equipped, with all the latest gadgets including digital X-ray, IM3 dental, multiple ultrasounds, Idexx biochemistry and haematology and much more.

The clinic is located in a vibrant town in south-east Queensland. The town has all amenities and sporting facilities and is only a 3-hour drive from Brisbane.
