Meluca Recycling Pty Ltd in Drouin is seeking a reliable Skip Bin Booking Officer to join our busy waste and recycling team. You will handle bookings by phone, email and online inquiries, coordinate bin deliveries and collections, and assist customers with pricing and payment details.

Based in Gippsland with a Monday–Friday roster and occasional Saturday shifts, this role reports to the Operations Manager. We value organisation, customer focus, and a positive, sales-minded approach.

This is a busy, fast-paced role within our waste and recycling operations, responsible for taking skip bin bookings, coordinating deliveries and collections, assisting customers and helping keep daily operations running efficiently.

About Meluca Recycling

Meluca Recycling is a locally owned waste and resource recovery business based in Gippsland, with operations in Drouin and Bunyip. We provide skip bin hire, waste transfer and recycling services to residential and commercial customers across the region.

Position Details

• Full-time – immediate start

• Monday to Friday roster within business hours of 7:30am – 5:00pm

• Rotating Saturdays (currently every second Saturday)

• Based in Drouin

• Reporting to the Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Taking phone, email and online enquiries for skip bin bookings

• Scheduling and coordinating bin deliveries, exchanges and collections with drivers

• Providing customers with pricing, bin options and waste disposal information

• Ensuring payment is received prior to delivery where required

• Following up unpaid items, overfilled bins and additional charges

• Handling difficult customer conversations professionally and working towards suitable outcomes

• Communicating with drivers and yard staff to help keep daily operations running efficiently

• Processing payments and completing associated administrative tasks

About You

• Has excellent customer service skills and a friendly, customer-focused manner

• Is confident speaking with customers and has a sales-minded approach

• Is comfortable discussing pricing, payments and additional charges

• Can confidently handle difficult customer conversations while remaining professional

• Is highly organised, able to problem-solve and can work efficiently in a busy environment

• Is reliable, trustworthy and able to work both independently and as part of a small team

• Has excellent computer skills and strong attention to detail

• Is tech-savvy and able to learn new systems and applications quickly

Previous Industry Experience Highly Regarded

We would particularly like to hear from applicants with previous skip bin booking experience, including coordinating deliveries, exchanges and collections.

Experience in transport scheduling, logistics or the waste industry will also be highly regarded.

Training

On-the-job training will be provided to familiarise the successful applicant with our systems, pricing, processes and operations.
