CampaignHire is seeking a hands-on labourer to support North Queensland construction and industrial projects. The role involves operating a telehandler, coordinating deliveries and performing general labouring tasks to keep sites running safely and efficiently.

You will assist with material handling, maintain organised work areas, and support tradespeople. A strong safety mindset, reliable work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• White Card (Construction Industry General Safety Induction).
• Telehandler Ticket (RIIHAN309F) / TSHA Gold Card.
• Experience operating a telehandler on construction or industrial sites.
• Experience in site logistics, material handling and coordinating deliveries.
• General labouring experience in a construction environment.
• Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Experience on large-scale construction, mining or industrial projects.
• Additional relevant tickets (EWP, dogging, rigging, forklift) as project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate a telehandler safely and efficiently to move, load and unload materials and equipment around the worksite.
• Coordinate site deliveries, material movements and storage to ensure resources are available when required.
• Assist with receiving, checking and distributing deliveries to the appropriate work areas.
• Support site logistics, including maintaining organised laydown areas, storage locations and access routes.
• Perform general labouring duties, including manual handling, site preparation, cleaning and waste removal.
• Assist tradespeople and site teams with materials, tools and equipment as required.
• Load and unload vehicles and ensure materials are handled and stored safely.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and hazard-free work environment.
• Conduct pre-start checks and report any equipment faults, hazards or safety concerns.
• Follow site safety procedures, SWMS, PPE requirements and directions from supervisors.
• Assist with stock control and monitoring material availability on site.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople, subcontractors and delivery drivers to support project deadlines.

Our client's North Queensland division consists of branches in Cairns, Townsville, and Mt Isa, with the capability to execute a wide range of projects. The team is supported by extensive national resources, allowing them to meet the diverse needs of their clients effectively.

The Role

The successful candidate will assist with site operations, material handling, deliveries and general labouring duties to ensure projects run safely and efficiently. Experience coordinating site deliveries, managing materials and maintaining an organised worksite is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities:

Operate a telehandler safely and efficiently to move, load and unload materials and equipment around the worksite.

On Offer

Attractive hourly rate of $36 - $40 per hour + super + penalties.

Required Qualifications:

Current Australian Driver Licence.

Current and relevant Telehandler Ticket (RIIHAN309F) / TSHA Gold Card

Previous experience operating a telehandler on construction or industrial sites.

Experience in site logistics, material handling and coordinating deliveries.

Previous general labouring experience in a construction environment.

Good communication, organisation and time-management skills.

Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour.

Reliable, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Full Australian working rights.

Experience on large-scale construction, mining or industrial projects.

Experience working within permit-controlled environments and following site-specific safety procedures.
