Job summary

Brownlow Building P/L is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to own residential renovation, extension repair and rectification projects across Melbourne.

You will manage programme, trades, procurement, quality, documentation, client communication, variations, inspections and handover with support from the Construction Manager. Projects span Melbourne’s Inner North, Inner West, Inner East, Bayside and CBD.

Qualifications

• Must have strong practical residential construction knowledge.
• Understand renovations and existing-building constraints.
• Able to read plans, engineering and specifications.
• Capable of coordinating trades and holding them accountable.
• Excellent communication with homeowners.
• Maintain clear records and site documentation.

Site Supervisor – Renovations, Repairs & Rectification

Brownlow Building P/L – Port Melbourne VIC

Brownlow Building is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to take ownership of residential renovation, extension repair and rectification projects across Melbourne. Once a project moves into construction, you own the delivery. You'll be responsible for programme, trades, procurement, quality, site documentation, client communication, variations, inspections, completion and handover - supported by consultants, project administration team and the Construction Manager. Projects are predominantly located across Melbourne's Inner North, Inner West, Inner East, Bayside and CBD.

Key responsibilities

Reviewing project scopes, plans, engineering and construction documentation

Planning and maintaining construction programmes

Coordinating trades, subcontractors, suppliers and deliveries

Managing multiple active projects and maintaining momentum

Monitoring workmanship and quality throughout construction

Identifying problems early and developing practical solutions

Managing safe, tidy and professionally presented sites

Coordinating inspections and consultant involvement

Maintaining clear job notes, photographs, ITPs and site records

Keeping clients informed throughout the project

Manage 3-4 active projects at a time, supported by smart systems and AI technology to maximise efficiency, planning and follow-through

About you

Registered Building Practitioner or Trade-qualified carpenter with approximately 10+ years of residential construction experience

Strong practical residential construction knowledge

Understand renovations and existing-building constraints

Can confidently read plans, engineering and specifications

Understand structural and repair work

Organised and plan ahead

Can coordinate and hold trades accountable

Communicate well with homeowners

Keep strong records and documentation

Experience in Wunderbuild or similar PM software would be beneficial.

Current driver licence and White Card required
