Job summary

BK Civil Group in Queensland is seeking a Site Supervisor / Leading Hand for an immediate start on a cattle feedlot expansion project. You will lead on-site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure works meet program specifications and ISO Safety, Environment and Quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to work away from home as needed. A competitive salary and supportive team environment are offered on exciting eastern Australia projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum5years industry relevant working experiencein a similar role
• Experience with ISO Accredited standards for Safety, Environment and Quality
• Ability to read and understand detailed civil construction plans
• Bulk earthworks experience

Responsibilities

• Supervision of team members including delegating tasks to individuals or teams
• Supervise and Coordinate sub-contractors to ensure workmanship aligns with project requirements
• Managing onsite construction activities to ensure compliance to program specifications
• Provide Quality Assurance and control sign off to relevant works, in alignment with project requirements
• Monitor all day to day works and identify potential challenges/issues
• Manage Client and/or Stakeholder correspondence during construction
• Subcontractor management experience highly regarded

About the Role:

• Supervision of team members including delegating tasks to individuals or teams in a clear and concise manner
• Supervise and Coordinate sub-contractors to ensure workmanship aligns with project requirements
• Managing onsite construction activities to ensure compliance to program specifications
• Provide Quality Assurance and control sign off to relevant works, in alignment with project requirements
• Monitor all day to day works. This includes identifying and managing potential challenges/issues
• Manage Client and/or Stakeholder correspondence and interactions during construction
• Subcontractor management experience highly regarded

Key Requirements:

• Initial project drive in drive out work (roster) for a cattle feedlot expansion project. BK have been delivering a number of cattle feedlots, and with the growth are seeking a Site Supervisor/Leading Hand.
• Ability to run earthworks/roads crews and Subcontractor as dedicated Site Supervisor/Leading Hand onsite.
• Ability to run smaller earthworks/road projects from operating a machine.
• Minimum5years industry relevant working experiencein a similar role
• BK are supportive of progressing the career of a Leading Hand into a Site Supervisor Role.
• Experience with working to ISO Accredited standards for Safety, Environment and Quality
• Topcon/Trimble experience
• Ability to read and understand detailed civil construction plans
• Bulk earthworks experience
• Ability to lead works crew, manage subcontractors and communicate with the client.
• Exceptional communication skills, written and oral
• Sound understanding of civil earthworks projects and earthmoving machinery
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work away from home at times
