Job summary

Geelong-based CIVELITE is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead daily on-site operations for our civil construction projects in Victoria. This full-time role ensures work is delivered on time, to quality standards and in alignment with client expectations.

You will oversee labour, subcontractors, plant and materials, enforce health and safety compliance, monitor progress against schedules and budgets, and maintain accurate site records while coordinating with management and clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, methods, materials and relevant building codes and standards.
• Demonstrated experience in health and safety management on construction sites.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and supervise diverse teams.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with a focus on delivering projects on schedule.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Sound understanding of project budgeting and cost control.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Reliability and a professional approach to all site and client interactions.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating all site activities, including labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies
• Monitoring project progress and reporting on schedule adherence and budget performance
• Conducting daily toolbox talks and site inspections to identify and address safety hazards
• Managing communication between site teams, management and clients to ensure clarity and coordination
• Overseeing quality control measures and ensuring work meets contractual and industry standards
• Maintaining accurate site records, documentation and daily reports
• Inducting and training site personnel on project-specific requirements and procedures
